In looking through our pictures from April, I was a little taken aback at how many there were of eating and food. I don't remember gorging myself last month, but I suppose it could explain why both Erik and I are newly committed to exercise and healthy eating. That or an upcoming Lake Powell trip necessitating 4 days in a swimsuit. Regardless, enjoy our feeding frenzy vicariously.

| The boy's first asparagus |
| These days, anytime I take a picture of Sam, Morgan insists that I document her too. Even when this is what she gives me to work with. (did you just start singing the Mulan song too?) |
| Sam's first Cafe Rio, Erik's request for his birthday dinner. I guess I should be insulted that he didn't want my cooking, but mostly I was just relieved. |
| First sucker. I'm noticing a trend. April must have blown his mind. |
| Yup, you guessed it, first strawberry pie. Compliments of Erik's 30th birthday. |
| Look at that angle- he's totally doing the old man after dinner slouch. All he needs now is a toothpick. |
| I know there's not a kid in this picture, but dang this was good. |
| Another date that I wasn't invited on. |
| She insisted on sitting in the high chair, and then got upset when Sam tried to take food off "his" tray. I'm relishing the development of a competing predator. As a mother I can't teach her survival tactics, but Sam is giving her a crash course. |
I just realized that as I type I'm eating snap peas and hummus. It would appear that April is not as isolated an event as I would like to think. Although its hard to feel too guilty about peas and hummus. If you don't see me in any of the pictures from Lake Powell, you'll know why.
