I'm Baaaack!

Three months ago I finished a blog post with the tantalizing hint of blogging again soon, this time about the second half of our stay-cation.  About that... 

It's taken the imminent arrival of another stay-cation to shame me back into the blogosphere to finish what I started.  Journey back with me to the distant month of January-  or February.  I can't even remember when our last vacation week was, that's how long it's been since I blogged.  Oh the shame.

Nana and Far-Far flew in for a busy 48 hours, which is probably as long as they wanted to spend sleeping on Morgan's top bunk and an air mattress anyway.  Morgan considers sleeping on the top bunk a rare privilege and eagerly climbed up to join Nana every morning, invited or not.  I think Morgan would have been perfectly satisfied to stay up there the whole time, but the the rest of us decided to take a trip to the Sonora Desert Museum near Tucson.

You would think by this optimistic picture that Sam would be walking by now.  Not so.

They had a lot of animal exhibits there, including these prairie dogs (yes, there is glass).  This one popped up right in front of Sam and scared him to death.

Exiting the park.  I think she spent as much time with the metal javelinas as she did the real ones.  It's like the time we went to the zoo and she was perfectly content to watch the ducks and turtles from the bridge entrance.

Sigh of relief.  That's done.  Based on my current track record, I should be good until August.  See you then.
