Catch up, anyone?

This is a good start to 2011. I think I'm officially lazier and more out of shape than I was last year. And yet, I'm not going to make any goals or resolutions, because rather than spurring me on, they just remind me of all the things I should be doing but probably won't. For instance, instead of vacuuming and folding laundry, I'm browsing card designs and blogging. However, I'm going to justify my laziness by saying that I'm behind on blogging (which I am) and so this is actually productive. Here are some visuals of what we've been up to:

Erik has had a few family friendly rotations since starting up after Christmas - psych and internal medicine. Family friendly meaning he's not working on weekends, has almost nonexistent call nights, and comes home by 6 every night. I'm adoring the almost normal routine. Of course, after dinner and Morgan's bedtime, we still go our separate ways as he studies all evening and I try to entertain myself, but it's a lot better than it has been. We've even been planning regular date nights. GASP! Sadly, they don't always work out as planned, like how Saturday's attempt to visit the temple bombed when someone (me) didn't check their hours. Heads up: the Bountiful temple was closed Saturday. I think the longer we are married, the worse we are at dating.

Kind of a scary picture of a normally lovely girl, but this demonstrates her new trick: pounding. Not sure who taught this to her, but once started, she has to pound with everyone in the room, sometimes more than once.

Mark and Abby came out with their familia for a brief visit, using Mark's interview at the Primary Children's as an excuse. We finally got to meet Sydney, who by the way is much cuter than she is in this picture. Sorry, Abby, but after all, this blog is devoted to my child. We are excited about the remote possibility of living in the same state as them for one year until we take off for our own residency. And that was January in a nutshell. Stay tuned to see if I can cram February into one post.
